Thai traditional medicine & herbalism
Jah is a food scientist, Thai traditional medicine student, and founder of Kaori Craftroom, translating generations of Thai plant wisdom into everyday, modern life.
What Thai traditional medicine is
Thai traditional medicine (TTM) is one of the world's oldest documented medical traditions, far more than the massage it's often known for abroad. It's a complete philosophy built around elements, tastes, seasons, and constitutional harmony, spanning herbal medicine, diet, and bodywork, passed down through generations of practitioners.
Jah holds a Master's degree in food science, and spent two years in Japan distilling gin, extracting roots and botanicals down to their essence. Living so far from home, in someone else's culture, she found herself thinking more and more about her own: the plants, the medicine, the wisdom she grew up with. That distance pulled her back, and showed her that precision and tradition weren't so far apart. Today, she's bringing Thai tradition into modern, everyday life.
